One of the questions we get asked most frequently is: "What's the best cell phone deal out there?". Without a doubt, family plans save you a boat load of money over multiple single user plans. One of the cheapest around is TMobiles deal which is only $50 for the first two lines, and only an additional $5 per extra line. In other words, a family of 5 gets a 5 line contract for $65 per month. You are not going to beat $13 per person on any other plans.

The only issue to watch out for is the add-ons. While the base package is dirt cheap, and should be enough for most people, when you start adding in web browsing and unlimited SMS you are definitely going to start to ratchet up the price. Naturally, you can add these things as needed - but realize that by default they will often be added to all lines on the family plan and you will need to let your carrier know if you only want the options on a single line.
